Like a tessellating aquarius moon this sewn mosaic is a meditation on the revelations that glisten back when you peer through the ripples of your own reflection pool.

This original piece was created by Maya Santoso and is arranged in the Asanoha pattern, which is often used in Japanese sashiko. 'What Lies Beneath' forms part of a series of three mosaics for the Nippon Collection

8cm diameter

Giclee prints on rice paper, sewn together using 100% cotton thread.

This piece comes signed, mounted and framed in white.
